I ordered the griot complet which came with pork, rice and beans, fried plantains, a side salad and pikliz. Absolutely delicious! And very reasonable price for all the food I got, even for door dash. Soooo happy we have a Haitian spot FINALLY!
I have never tried Haitian food before. This was a wonderful experience. Very unassuming from the outside, quiet and relaxed inside. The service was excellent and they were quick to offer suggestions, upon request. The food came out quickly and was flavourful and filling. They were generous with their portions, as well, opping my dish with a couple plaintain chips I was thrilled to try. I ordered the Stewed Vegetables with the Mushroom Rice and Macaroni. The Macaroni was a recommendation and I wasn't disappointed. Baked to cheesy perfection. The vegetables were stewed into something similar to a curry, delightfully spiced, which went excellently with the Mushroom Rice. That rice was delightfully mushroom-y. Had a tiny bit of spice to it, too, but was not at all overpowering. Cooked to a
Awesome service so friendly and patient! Her name is Nephe I believe but everyone was kind. Food was great, had griot, black rice and macaroni cheese with the pikliz on the side. Everything was so flavorful. I will have to return to try more dishes!
If you're looking to try something new in Augusta then this is it. They offer fish on select days, and it's best calling ahead to ensure it’s available. One highlight for me was learning that they bake their fish instead of frying it, which is a healthier option. However, I did find that there are no dairy-free smoothie options available, which is a bit disappointing. The customer service was exceptional! My family and I felt warmly welcomed upon entering the establishment. One downside was the rice, which was unfortunately quite hard. I also hope they expand their salad dressing options, as a vinaigrette would be a welcome addition. Overall, my first visit left me optimistic about this place. You can sense the family spirit and positivity within the team, making it a promising new spot to
Excellent food, portions, and service! They are so nice and accommodating for your respective taste buds! I ordered griot (fried pork) and diriz djon djon (mushroom rice) with macaroni. The mac and cheese was flavorful, well-seasoned and perfect with the griot. Definitely give it a try! Oh! I'm so stuffed and happy. There is plenty of space to sit and eat with friends. They also have natural juices like guava and passion fruit that pairs well with the meal. We will certainly be back! Don't forget to ask for hot/pickled slaw to enjoy with your meats (pikliz)!
