Good Neighbor Restaurant

What a lovely experience I had here today! I knew I would be leaving a stellar review before I even got my food. The waitresses that helped me were beyond lovely- so kind, warm, and accommodating. The vibe of the restaurant is classic and instantly homey- it feels like old LA in the best way, adorned with checkered floors and photos of Hollywood starlets. The food was delicious and simple- my patty melt on rye was perfect. Thank you Good Neighbor, I can’t wait to come back and bring friends!

Either we visited on a really off day, or all these 5-star reviews are trippin'. I love a no-frills diner, and was sorely disappointed. There was almost nothing redeeming about our meal at Good Neighbor. It wasn't a trainwreck; but usually, when you have an underwhelming experience, there's something you can latch on to. Not the case here. First, the atmosphere. Parking is awful. I concede that's not their fault, but a function of their location, but beware. Anyway, we entered, and nobody was there to greet us. After a few minutes a woman rolling silverware got up and offered to add us to the list. When we were called, we were pointed across the restaurant: "go to that table in the corner". Well established neighborhood mom and pop diner sees both regulars and new faces enjoy breakfast and lunch regularly. As the name implies, it's really a good neighbourhood 👌. Always when visiting LA and staying at Los Angeles Hilton Universal City, I must stop by this iconic restaurant to enjoy their coffee and breakfast. The service is super friendly and welcoming 🙏

Awesome breakfast diner spot. My parents go here pretty frequently, but it was my first time. It's rather large on the inside, with lots of seating, as well as a tiny patio, and a side room where you can just order coffee to go or have while you wait. We went on a Sunday morning, so there was a wait, but even so we only had to wait 15-20 min. Very busy and popular spot! It was a little loud, but there was also a large party seated in the main area who were making most of the noise. Wait staff was very friendly and enjoyable to chat with.
