Honestly so mad it took me this long to find this place. Tenders are better than Puritan and in my opinion the atmosphere is less stuffy. Food prices are very reasonable in this economy as well! Excited to bring friends and family here too! Highly recommend 🤌🏻🤌🏻🍔🤙🏻 Got a Texas Burger, seafood platter, chili cheese glizzy, and ice cream 8.5/10!

The hype isn't quite there. Don't get me wrong—the portions are large and the prices are fair. However, the chicken tenders, which some say rival the famous Puritan Backroom tenders, were disappointing. The batter was either too hard or fell off completely. The fries were decent, but the oil used for frying wasn't very complementary at all; they had a flat taste. My family tried the fried seafood and mentioned it also lacked flavor. I'm not sure how they could improve this. As for the coleslaw, the texture was quite coarse, resembling horseradish sauce. Once again, there were issues with both taste and texture. I don’t know… it just wasn’t great. Sorry 💔 goldenrod.

Hot and perfectly fried chicken tenders, scallops and fries. The clam chowder was delicious. Great prices for huge portions too!

Visited the Golden Rod for the first time yesterday. My family and I bought a fisherman's platter, and a chicken finger plate. The seafood was flavorful, well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and delicious. My wife and I commented that it was on par with similar establishments on the Cape. The chicken plate was equally as good, tender chicken, flavorful breading, as good as I have had in a while. The establishment lived up to its reputation, and we will definitely return.

Great food and daily specials can't be beat price wise. Stopped in for some onion rings and they do not disappoint. If your in the mood for fried clams, a burger hot dog,lobster roll or turkey dinner this is the place. They offer so much more to. Oh I forgot ice cream.
