Golden Wok

I placed a phone order and everything seemed fine until the delivery driver arrived. He was rude, impatient, and repeatedly asked for a tip. Because of his behavior, I did not tip. The food was disappointing—especially the orange chicken, which was mostly breading with very little meat. What is most concerning is what happened afterward. A few days later, I noticed an unauthorized $10 charge on my card. When I called the restaurant to ask about it, the owner sent me a photo of the receipt claiming I had left a tip. However, the signature and handwriting on that receipt are clearly not mine, and I never authorized any additional charge. It appears the driver forged a tip and signature. Have been here twice with my husband.The food is alright compared toy home town's Chinese food.AND the service is absolutely disgusting! The lady at the front counter( not sure if she's a manager or not) was incredibly rude! I also was told to put a tip on the card slip..not worth spending 💰 here.

Food was old and disgusting. I hardly ate any of it and and the lemonade is not lemonade I have no ideas what it is but I had to throw it away. Hours later I was on the toilet with food poisoning. Dirty place that serves old food. The rice smelled bad too, I would not recommend.

Their sesame chicken has the #2 sauce in New London and they have a good balance of meat to breading.

They have a few tables, but I've never seen anyone eating there. It's (for me) primarily a take out place. I found Golden Wok in the middle 90's when they were on Bayonet St. There menu and food quality hasn't changed in that 27 years. I moved out of New London in 2003 and I travel back to Golden Wok at least 6 or 7 times a year.
