Let me just say the food here is outstanding. The staff working here were also very, very nice. There’s a reason why they have nearly a perfect five stars on Google. We ordered the chicken rolls, the Gobi cauliflower, roti, the Ceylon tea, the deviled sizzling platter and the butter chicken. Everything was chefs kiss. You can tell they really care. They also brought me out this biscuit cake for my birthday with a lit candle and it was phenomenal. I was so full but couldn’t stop eating it. Thanks so much Cinnamon Grill, can’t wait to come back and try other stuff!
OMG this place blew us away! Needed a quick dinner and Cinnamon grill significantly exceeded expectations! When we said it was our first time the waiter did an awesome job explaining all the specifics on the menu in just a few minutes. We ordered the chicken biryani, the chicken Kottu Roti, and an appetizer of Gobi honey garlic (fried cauliflower with garlic/honey) they were all incredible. The jasmine tea was a nice compliment to the round out the meal. Service was awesome, price was way lower than expected, incredible visit!
We were going to a show in New London and came across Cinnamon Grill. When you first open the door the aroma pulls you the rest of the way in. I’ve never had Sri Lankan food before. The waiter took the time to explain the menu and often subtle differences between Indian and Pakistani food. My wife had butter chicken. The same but slightly different and better. I had what they called chicken stew. Nothing at all what we would call stew but an amazing flavor. This place is an hour away for us but I can easily see us returning. Not a fancy place. Fair prices and fast friendly service.
We ordered to go ; Chicken Lump rice & chicken kottu ! It was perfect . First I panicked not seeing the banana leaf wrapped Lumprice & called the restaurant ! Found out It was wrapped & placed in the foil container . My mistake! The food was great & staff was great !! This is the place to go if you want to try authentic Sri Lankan food .
As a Sri Lankan, this is the best Sri Lankan restaurant I’ve been to! The food here most accurately reflects the food I grew up with at home. The fish cutlets are some of the best I’ve had. If you want an authentic Sri Lankan meal, get the fish cutlets, hoppers with dahl curry, and the rice and curry platter. The pumpkin curry, okra, and deviled potatoes are amazing. The pol sambol (coconut sambol) and lunu miris are perfect. Everything is delicious and authentic!! Love this Sri Lankan restaurant!
