This is an absolute gem in New London. The chicken cutlet was delicious for the seasoning was incredible. Plenty big portion size for the price. ☺️The clerks at the counter where efficient and friendly. Fantastic location and the steady stream of customers just illustrates how loyal these customers are. Wonderful experience all around.

There is one thing and one thing only you're going to do here: Get an amazing grinder. Sure, they have other sandwiches that are good, and an array of breakfast items and homemade mayo-based salads that are also top-notch, but their grinders are legendary in an area that literally invented the grinder (really, look it up). They're absolutely huge and crammed full of fresh ingredients. The mother-and-daughter team that runs the place are friendly and provide rapid fire service... necessary in a tiny place that routinely has lines out the door. Be aware of the one drawback: Hamilton Market closes at 3 pm and does not open on weekends. Awesome neighborhood sandwich shop. Popular with locals, they sell grinders (a half size would be plenty for a normal lunch) and specialty sandwiches among other things. I had the Reuben, which came with crisp French fries. There are two small tables in the shop that can fit 5-6 each, so we squeezed in alongside another group and had a great time meeting them, hearing their stories. The food was delicious - can’t wait to come back to this awesome family restaurant!

Took my lady from Missouri here on her first trip to the Northeast and it wad amazing. The staff were friendly and VERY helpful. I loved the atmosphere and how the staff knew all the regulars and what they order. 10/10 will absolutely be coming back on my next trip to CT
