Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

I was very disappointed this morning. I used to buy their porridge, on a regular, from the 8th Ave store in the city in Midtown. It was nice and creamy. You can pour it out with no problems. This morning, I got something that had the texture of grits. NASTY 🤮. It had a ton of lumps, I needed a spoon to pour it out. It didn't look like it had any milk in it. Never again. Not to mention, they NEVER answer the phone, no matter what time of day. One time, I sat outside until 7:15 a.m., and they hadn't opened yet.

Great customer service skills ! Oxtails , peas and rice . Delicious ( Yeah Man ) ..I'll be there again one day 😎 Thank you so much.. A little expensive , but worth it ❣️

I have so many issues with this particular restaurant firstly, they never pick up their phone not once in about 100 times I’ve ordered from this restaurant have they ever picked up their phone. When I order on DoorDash 70% of the time, my items are incomplete. I totally understand if a restaurant doesn’t have an item in stock, but I am never informed about it or refunded, I would have to go through DoorDash support and after multiple complaints they’ve stopped refunding me. Any restaurant that does any form of deliveries should always have a number for customers to call it should be a requirement at this point.

On June 7, 2024, at approximately 2:00 PM, I visited the store to purchase oxtail. The tall black lady, who appeared to be the owner, was the only staff member present. Unfortunately, her customer service skills were lacking, and she seemed unhappy. When I asked about the price of the oxtail, she responded with a dismissive tone, saying it was the same price regardless of payment method. I explained that I wanted to know the price to ensure I had sufficient cash, but she didn't seem interested in understanding my perspective. Even when I thanked her after the transaction, she didn't respond. While the oxtail was delicious, I won't be returning due to the poor service. I hope the owner recognizes the importance of customer service and takes steps to improve it

Instead of focusing on preparing and selling clean good tasting food, they polite the neighborhood with piles of garbage and grease on the sidewalk. And playing loud obnoxious music late hours after closing with no respect for the homeowners in the area. They allow their cook to do this and the owner lives right next door to the restaurant. Do not patronize this business if you are a decent human being.
