Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

This by far the best oxtails that I’ve ever tasted. I’ve been eating there food for now almost 9 years I don’t care what borough I’m in don’t care how much the Uber , train , bus, or plane cost to get there but I’m getting there and you should to.and there not cheap might I add Godbless you guys

Golden Krust is truly golden. I ordered a small braised oxtail plate and was incredibly amazed at the flavors and size. This was hands-down the best oxtail plate I’ve ever had. The staff was also attentive, as I called the store beforehand and asked if it was a gluten-free dish, and they confirmed yes, which made me even happier. I will definitely be back!

I’ve been here multiple times, and the food quality is hit or miss depending on the day. The service is VERY slow.

Golden Krust is fairly consistent around the 5 boroughs. There are a few that definitely do not make the cut. If Jamaican fast food will suits you, stop at one. This one on 14th and 6th is on brand. They had a lot of the menu left at the start of the evening. The oxtails were tender, not super fatty, and delivered flavor as they should. The sizing of the portion for the money is not the best however, the staff knows how to pile it on if you are courteous and thankful.

Delicious jerk chicken and cabbage. Plantines could have been more fresh but other than that good price for a medium plate. Nice person serving the food.
