Godavari Princeton

We, a party of 12, went there to celebrate the birthday of a friend. We did not have to wait too long to get our food. We ordered a couple of appetizers, some breads, a couple of biriyanis, 7-8 entries, and 2 desserts. All dishes were quite tasty. Some dishes were too creamy, but that is something you expect from all Indian restaurants. The service was good as well. We will definitely go back there.

Its My first time visiting Godavari Princeton, hoping to eat Roomali Roti which was unavailable we need to call them to check for the availability!! We ordered Raju Gari kodi vepudu in which salt is missing and taste is ok ok…Gongura Kodi khebab is good tangy to taste. On Entrees we ordered Kurnool Kodi and Telangana kodi kurma with garlic naan and butter naan. Both curries are on little sweeter side because of lot of onions in the gravy, both are ok ok. Over all there is some missing flavor in every dish!!

Food here is delicious, full of flavors and have a wide variety of indian platters. They have good vegetarian options as well. Spice level is usually high. So, ask for 'mild' or 'medium'. They have an area for events and catering which can accomodate upto 40 folks. The catering team is helpful and responsive.

was my first time visiting Godavari, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant dining experience for me. I arrived around 6:50 PM and was craving something tasty and satisfying. I started by ordering a full Tandoori Chicken Kebab, specifically requesting it to be cooked well-done. After about 25 minutes, the dish was served, but it was not well-done. It looked good, but the taste and texture were underwhelming and not fully cooked to my liking. Trying to give it another chance, I asked the server for a better recommendation. He suggested the Afghani Chicken Kebab, which I ordered. After another 20–25 minutes (around 7:40–7:50 PM), that dish came out too—and again, not cooked enough. Visited this Godavari after mixed experiences in Minnesota. The ambience was excellent with optimal lighting and music, and the restaurant was clean and well-staffed. What we ordered: Bamma Gari" Rasam:A flavorful, spicy, and slightly sour soup. Enjoyed it. Gongura Vankaya Koora (Eggplant Special): Mediocre taste; lacked depth. Garlic naan was good. Old City Veg Dum Biryani: Disappointing. Bland compared to other dum biryanis. Salan lacked flavor. Mini Idlis with Ghee: Large portion but average taste. Chutneys and sambhar were underwhelming. Price was not reasonable. While the service and interior were commendable, the food fell short of expectations. Wouldn't return unless seeking milder South Indian flavors.
