Glen Mountain House Snacks & Souvenirs

As I sat here near the Upper Entrance of the park, I realized that for many, this is just a quick stop for a cold drink or a souvenir. But for those of us who listen to the 'whispers of history' in the 14891, this spot is hallowed ground. This snack bar sits on the very foundation where the grand Glen Mountain House once stood. Before the fire of 1903, this was a world-class resort hosting 300 guests at a time—a bustling community perched right on the edge of the gorge. I’ve recently been studying the legacy of Morvalden Ells, the man who first invited the world to explore our 'Mysterious Book of Nature' back in 1863. You should know this is something special when I had one of the best ice creams that I enjoyed right at this place with amazing customer experience from the friendly staff, which made be go above and beyond to mark this place and and add this review. They are located at the Upper Entrance to the park and if you are coming from trails, just after you climb up “Jacob’s Ladder” (which will definitely make their ice cream worth it) Important thing is while being low on staff and ran out of ice cream corns; they did not cut corners. You can look at the pictures and that is two scoops (which is more like 6 scoops) for $5. Absolutely delicious and amazing!! Highly recommended to visit with kids after a long hike!!

They offer snacks for hikers, as well as souvenirs. The souvenirs have the same pricing as in the shop at the park entry. Drinks are cool. The problem is: the prices on the drinks and items do not match the tag prices. And I am not writing about the additional tax. They just charge you a way higher amount and when asking why this is. Staff answers unfriendly: False advertising That’s it. Besides that. Next to the shop you can rest and eat and drive your own food.
