The Red Kettle Inn Bed and Breakfast

We had a lovely stay at Trudi’s beautiful Bed and Breakfast. We loved the Victorian craftsmanship and furnishings, and our bed was very comfortable. Trudi impressed us very much and we enjoyed getting to know her and the other guests. Each morning she made us a scrumptious 3 course breakfast. Different every day (we stayed 4 nights) and always delicious!

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Kettle! The house has so much character and charm, and it's location is perfect - walking distance from the state park and restaurants. The inn is cozy a d well kept, but what truly makes it special is the amazing host, who makes you feel right at home. Each morning, we enjoyed a fresh homemade breakfast that was absolutely delicious and prepared with care. The combination of warm hospitality, great food, and a beautiful, convenient setting made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend! Tip: be sure to try the pizza and cannoli across the street- it's fantastic!

Several members of my family recommended the Inn after their stays there in the past year (my brother for the food alone), and we were not disappointed! Eating breakfast felt just like Grandma's house as a kid, where we were treated to some of the best home-cooked food I've had in probably a decade. Trudy took care of my egg allergy (though my husband's omelette looked mighty fine), and I was absolutely stuffed after the final parfait (served in crystal no less!). Each day was a new set of breakfast courses, too. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Red Kettle Inn, and cannot recommend it enough! Trudi is a wonderful host: a fantastic conversationalist, a great source of local knowledge, and a talented chef. Every morning started with a multi-course seasonal breakfast and nice chat with other guests. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location was a great home-base for wine tasting in the area, and we loved being able to walk into Watkins Glen right from the Inn. Can't wait to return in the future!

We stayed at the Red Kettle Inn for three nights in October. Positives first: Great location. Walking distance to the Watkins Glen main street. Firmness of the bed was good. The house is very quaint. The Innkeeper is gracious. Negatives: The train and boats will wake you up at a minimum three times nightly. The outside of the house needs a lot of care. The landscaping was out of control. The pictures online is not what you get. You could not sit out back to use the firepit because the cushions were all torn apart. I admit I am a neat freak and my home is very clean. I know not everyone lives this way. The house is filthy. There is no other way to describe it. Dusting has not occurred on all surfaces in over a year. If you are sensitive to dust, do not stay here.
