Gilreath Family Kodak Branch Library

A beautiful facility that feels welcoming and is comfortable. You really want to spend time there and quietly read your favorite book.

We visited this library branch after dropping off a realtor friend at a house she is selling. We didn’t know if we’d be waiting one or more hours so this seemed an ideal place to wait - and it was. The librarian was welcoming as we entered. She told me she’s been here awhile - not as long as the library which opened in 2000 or 2001. They will be moving to a larger location in the near future! It’s not a big library, but it’s cozy, and has lots to see & do. There’s comfortable chairs by the front door, to read or recharge electronics - cords provided! Around the corner are books, DVDs and yarn for sale - reasonably priced. I purchased 2 children’s books for a dollar for our soon to be one year old nephew. Not a friendly staff. I love to read. My children love to read. Immediately upon entering was given a crappy attitude as well as the rest of the visit. Which we cut extremely short bc of those reasons. Didn’t even check out a book. Our first library trip as a family ruined. I was so excited to start our library journey, especially as a homeschooling mom. Will not be returning here.

This was a lovely place to pass the time while waiting for a friend. The librarians were friendly and helpful. I liked sitting in the space with comfy seats, near the two clean bathrooms. When I looked around the children’s section, I thought the stuffed animals & puppets for check out was a wonderful idea!

Perfect little library for the community. Fun events for the kids and amazing librarians.
