Georges on York Boutique Inn

My weekend stay at Georges on York was delightful. Our family was in town for a wedding and this wonderful B&B offered us the opportunity to be close to the venue(within walking distance), stay together with family& friends and be treated with exceptional service in a comfortable & cozy atmosphere. Our breakfast each morning was DELICIOUS and there were yummy baked goods, snacks and warm cider/beverages throughout the home to enjoy at our leisure. The common areas were beautifully decorated and provided opportunities to gather as a group or have some quiet private time. There were several wonderful outdoor seating areas as well. My wife and I had a delightful three night stay here. Chris and Sharon are exceptional inn keepers. The room was very comfortable and appointed in retro mid fifties decor, except for the addition of a very comfortable king size bed with amazing sheets. Our room had a carefully framed signature on the wall from a worker who apparently did some wall papering in 1925! It demonstrates the care that Chris and Sharon took to restore this beautiful old house. Chris and Sharon were very attentive but not intrusive. They were very careful about dietary restrictions. The patio is beautiful as is their garden, from which many of the fresh produce served for breakfast was harvested. We highly recommend this inn.

My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at George’s on York and it was just as I had envisioned - a dinner party with great food and an inviting atmosphere. The B&B is super cozy and warm. Sharon and Chris were accommodating for not only the rehearsal dinner, but for the groomsmen the morning of the wedding. They even had gluten free options for breakfast the morning after the wedding. I stayed at the Georges on York for one night on the way to pick up a kitten from a nearby cattery. Chris and Sharon are very welcoming and the house is beautiful! The room was very comfortable and had all the necessities. Breakfast was simply delicious made from locally sourced foods and fresh coffee. I would happily stay here again.

Georges on York is all around an excellent option if you’re staying in the Gettysburg/Frederick region. The owners are beyond kind, the rooms are lovely, and the vibes are immaculate. My partner and I are west coast natives and have never stayed at an east coast style b&b before, and the owners made the whole process and experience just a delight. Our flight got in very early in the morning and Chris was kind enough to have our room ready for us well before check-in time. Breakfast was served every morning at 9, and all the food was incredible and sourced from local distributors. The rooms were spacious, clean, and the beds were so comfortable. The bathroom in our room, the Elizabeth room, had a modern tiled step-in shower which was kept very clean. The common areas had every amenity one c
