Fun! Great food! Service friendly and efficient. We had a big group event here last night. Only real complaint was that the music was so loud we could not hold a conversation at all. Music was great though! Went back for a snack today and had their shrimp nachos! Very different but delicious! I would order no red onions and half the chips next time. Great bar. My husband had a painkiller. He loved it. All rimmed up with coconut. I would recommend this place for sure!

Gaffer’s is one of those coastal North Carolina spots that just gets it—good food, friendly people, and a relaxed vibe that makes you want to hang around a little longer. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and upbeat, and we were seated quickly even though it felt nicely busy. The menu has a little something for everyone, but it really shines if you’re in the mood for seafood and classic beach-town comfort food. Everything came out hot, fresh, and plated well. The flavors were spot on—not overly salty, not greasy, just well-seasoned and made with care. Great local restaurant here on the island. Really good food and drinks. Lots of outdoor seating with great bands for entertainment. I had a nice burger and fries and my wife enjoyed salad with chicken.

Nice place, chill atmosphere, more outside seating then indoors but all the outside seating is covered, and looked comfortable. Staff were super friendly & very attentive. Menu had a nice variety of items although I would of like to have seen more Appetizer options as well as sandwich options, plenty of seafood items to choose from. Had the tater skins for app. They were very good but you only get 4. Chicken wings were great. Got the Big C burger which was just that "BIG" tasted great & cooked well. Cole slaw & Pasta Salad were ehh. The small cheap flimsy plastic cups for drink I could do without. A stronger plastic or glass is much more preferred. Overall nice experience, good food, great service.

We stopped and had lunch after strolling the beach. There was a very talented musician playing so we had good music with our lunch. We ate Blackened shrimp nachos and a potato appetizer. Both were very good. The nachos were more than enough for four of us. We'll certainly come back the next time!
