Gadsden Public Library

I had the pleasure of doing my House Healing presentation at the Gadsden Public Library and had a wonderful experience. Carol was such gracious host, and so welcoming to me. This is such a fun and creative space and a gem for the Gadsden community. Thanks again for everything, and I highly recommend this library. Check them out!

This library is in a cozy spot near the downtown and historic districts. Always helpful staff with your typical library amenities. It has a unique café attached that offers tasty lunch options Mon - Fri. Great place to study, hold a meeting. The children side is well organized (as one would expect a library to be) with many options for the kiddos to enjoy. The only reason I don't give this a five star is the lack innovation. With all the technical advances the library could offer more and make better use of the facility soaces not being used. Great place overall, can't put my finger on it yet as Something is missing. I do enjoy it every chance I get, and my children enjoy it as well.

I love my library and the staff are great. I use the computer lab a lot and check out books regularly. If they dont have a book sometimes its available thru another library as a loan to my library. I love that. There are so many programs and services available. We are really blessed and fortunate to have such wonderful services and programs that many libraries dont offer. really wish they didn't close so early. To your reply: I'm personally used to the local library closing at 9. Even if it was 7 everyday that would be great to at least extend it past rush hour. I would be interested in volunteering for the experience for the 2 hours on the early closing days if it is something we could talk about and work out. I just don't have any experience in a library at all so I'm not much help there. I grew up in a northern state, and in the public school system I was in we didn't have the opportunity to leave work as I've always heard people can do in the south. With the library closing so early and schools being willing to push children out in the work force, its a wonder why literacy rates are so much different, but that comes with the effort people want to put in
