was really impressed with the sushi. The fish was fresh, tender, and flavorful. The rice was perfectly seasoned — not too sweet, not too sticky. The specialty rolls had a great combination of textures and flavors. You can truly taste the quality. Highly recommend for sushi lovers!
The environment is pleasant, understated and elegant, with a subtle Chinese influence in the decor that feels comfortable and relaxed. None of the dishes disappointed and everything was enjoyable. The scallops were tender, and the sauce was fresh and well balanced. The steak was slightly more cooked than ideal, but it still had a rich, aged flavor. The side dish was broccolini, which I particularly liked for its crisp texture. When I visited, the restaurant was not crowded, yet the staff maintained attentive but unobtrusive service, which felt just right. I would consider returning again
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fushimi. The food was delicious and presented so artfully. The serving staff were attentive and helpful. Our waiter was Haven. The restaurant is of good size, with lovely decor. We enjoyed Lobster Miso Soup, Charred Mushrooms, Pork Gyoza, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Angry Dragon Roll and Mochi Tasting for dessert! I so look forward to going again 🥰
Came here for a pre-show lunch. It’s a decent option in a pinch when you want to be by Broadway. The food is decent but the menu for lunch is extremely limited and not particularly interesting, with Times Square pricing. Everything was well executed though. There’s literally no reason to come here unless you need to be in the area and you need a quick meal that won’t break the bank. Otherwise there’s a million other much better Japanese restaurants in the city. Or better Asian restaurants in the area - see Gui or Din Tai Fung.
What a unique sushi restaurant. This menu has some very creative choices and it feels unlike most other Japanese restaurants in nyc. All the dishes were great except for the miso soup which arrived lukewarm. The rolls were divine. The edamame comes with dips including a truffle one. The atmosphere is upscale but fun. Service impeccable. Prices not crazy given the quality.
