Frenier Landing Restaurant and Oyster Bar

Lovely view of Lake Ponchartrain. We sat outside because we had a pup, unfortunately missed the cool band that was going. Bathrooms were clean and smelled good. Food was kind of small for what you paid and it was all deep fried. Maybe we should’ve asked more questions. All tasted good. We ordered alligator sausage (came as 6 slanted coin slices), bacon wrapped shrimp (large shrimp but came deep fried and only 4 pieces) a shrimp po boy (stacked! but the shrimp were not gulf shrimp, they seemed frozen), and a soft shell crab plate, which was also deep fried, unexpectedly. We enjoyed ourselves but wish we’d ordered something blackened or grilled. Spent $77 before tip. Service was great and I’d give 6 stars for atmosphere if I could.

Hubby and I had an early dinner here on a Saturday. We started with crawfish hush puppies and they were delicious. Our cocktails were good. I got the frenier oysters and they were ok. I dont think id order it again. Hubby had the fried shrimp he subbed a baked potato. It was lukewarm and kind of hard. Food came out in a timely manner and out waiter did a good job.

5 Stars - Excellent Food and Amazing Hospitality! ​Frenier Landing Restaurant and Oyster Bar deserves every one of these five stars! ​I ordered the gumbo with shrimp, and it was absolutely fantastic—rich, flavorful, and seriously, I wiped the bowl clean. It was the definition of yummy! ​Beyond the incredible food, the service was outstanding. I arrived right before closing, and they still welcomed Me warmly.... That level of kindness and accommodation is what sets a great restaurant apart. ​Highly recommend Frenier Landing for a great meal and an even better experience!

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. We popped in on a Thursday afternoon after arriving in town, and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our server, Shelley, was super sweet. The food was really, really good! We tried to go back on Saturday, but it was packed with a special event that had rented the place out. Our last night in town (Monday) is the only day they're closed - or we'd have gone back again.

Nice restaurant on the lake. I ordered the catfish plate with fries and hush puppies. Can't go wrong with that. It was really good. Sat on the balcony with a great view of the lake and a nice breeze. Customer service was really good as well offering different suggestions that I might enjoy. Overall, great place.
