Customer Reviews
The chicken stew was wicked good, as were the corn bread muffins i chose as my side. That stew has more meat and veggies in it than a pot pie! Excellent. The raspberry clafoutis was a lovely end to the meal, sweet but not too. Warmly greeted upon arrival and promptly waited on. Checked in on a couple well-spaced times. Tiny place, but wow is the food fantastic. Can't wait to go back and try some more of their unique dishes. Highly recommend.
Franks 231 – Garfield Rd, just north of Airport Rd Stopped in at Franks 231 and it did not disappoint! We had the meatloaf sandwich — perfectly seasoned, served on toasted bread with charred romaine for a little smoky crunch — plus a side of creamy potato salad. Also tried the bratwurst sandwich with tangy slaw, paired with a fresh broccoli salad and a piece of sweet, buttery cornbread. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Portions were generous without being over the top, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. Definitely a great spot if you’re in the area and want something hearty and satisfying.
Found out about them a few weeks ago, called maybe 10 minutes before close to see if I could still order. Absolutely no issues, ordered the PBLT and Cucumber/radish salad. I've been looking for an upscale hole in the wall joint, and this place is exactly what I've wanted. Always been a fan of single page menus, I tipped well because they were kind enough to not be upset about a last minute Larry ordering food. Gotta be honest, the dressing you made was bitter in a delicious way, and the PBLT was incredibly fresh...thank you for a wonderful meal.
Gorgeous little gems of sides, plus hearty mains, everything was super fresh and creative. Loved the PBLT and the cucumber salad with sumac crunchies!! Ok coming back to update this review because we got half of our order to go so we could try everything- potato salad was a banger, pierogis excellent and the greens dip also! Super excited to come back as the seasons change!
Just an excellent experience all around. We enjoyed the meatloaf sandwich with charred romaine! We got the eggplant, broccoli, and corn bread sides! The eggplant was a stand-out for me. Thanks for the 5-star lunch.
