Four Tree Island Parking Lot

Nice spot overlooking the naval yard. No overnight parking. Covered picnic tables a couple hundred feet walk out on the jetty. Water fountain and bottle fill by the playground.

Chill little Bayside Park, view of marinas, downtown and Navy Yard. Park has flush toilet bathrooms and shaded picnic tables.

When I was parking out in the Four Tree Island lot on Pierce Island Friday evening I noticed what looked like a new sign. I read it quickly in passing, but it appeared to say something about restricting parking from June to September to Pierce Island and 4Tree Island activity only. I have typically parked there to go to the Players Ring, Prescott Park, or other places from that end of Portsmouth to downtown. I’ve already limited my participation in Portsmouth activities because of the parking crisis there, perhaps more effective than any wall being built as it appears that Portsmouth will be off limits to me with this new parking restriction. We are here often as we love walking out to Four Tree Island and enjoying picnics. We have always found parking here, and it's a well-maintained lot as well.
