Forum Coffee (Madison)

Great new spot in downtown Madison! The barista was super friendly. I had been to their spot in East Hanover, and this is a nice addition to downtown Madison. More of a “neighborhood cafe” vibe. Cortado tasted great. Didn’t try any baked goods but will have to come back for that!

Fourm Coffee in Madison is okay, but nothing about it really stood out to me. I’ll start by saying this wasn’t my first time at Fourm. I previously visited their East Hanover location and had a bad experience there as well. Because of that, I went into the Madison location with a refreshed mindset, hoping that a different location might offer a better overall experience or at least feel different. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. First off, the location is tough once you’re past the early morning hours. Parking can be a headache, which already sets the tone before you even walk in. Parking is tough once the day gets going, and that’s never a great way to begin a quick coffee run. It already feels like more effort than it should be before you even step inside. Best experience in a coffee shop I’ve ever had. Coffee was amazing! Staff was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious! We’ve been to a few of the locations and one was just as good as the next! Thank you for a great experience Forum!!!

Really wanted to like this new addition to Madison. The atmosphere and location are great but the service was cold and unprofessional. Our table wasn't cleaned up for coffee spills even after requesting; only the used mugs were taken away. Despite this, we were still in a good mood waiting for our drinks, which we requested to be served in ceramic mugs (the cashier had agreed to it). Our server brought the drinks in paper cups. We reminded him of our request, but he claimed that they were short on ceramic. When the cashier corrected him, he returned instantly with ceramic mugs that were clearly unwashed and pulled straight from the sink, complete with visible stains on the outside. Lot of bad experiences for one visit. There is so much potential, if only service could be better.
