Fort Myers Beach Public Library

Wonderful sea mural at entrance, especially fun if you take the elevator. Elevator has port holes that you see fish and animals, would be fun with kids. Top floor has good view of water and beach, used book store, open art gallery space and sand castle installation. Second floor has extensive shell collection, large model ships, historical photos and puzzle table and first floor has good children space. Very welcoming and helpful staff.

Visited library a couple of months ago and when I logged on PC someone else’s chrome email profile popped open , if I wanted to, I could have read that person’s entire email library, instead, I notified person seated at “PC information desk” she quickly rushed to log previous users logged info and said everyone has to make sure they’re logged out completely after avery use of PC. NO ONE told me when I arrived , so this is purely up to ourselves to prevent people from accessing our emails and passwords and personal data. I personally find this extremely dangerous for anyone using these PC’s b/c all of our profiles stay logged on if we “Don’t make sure we completely logged out” Just saying :) Peace L

So glad the library is back open! The staff member I spoke to couldn’t have been kinder and more friendly. She patiently answered all my questions and gave me some advice. Gorgeous mural in the front, too!!

Absolutely love this library! I happened to find it on an outing to the beach. It is a private owned library so I did not find it on the lee county library system. If at the very least the bookends at this library are worth the trip 😍. So unique and such a hidden treasure. Esther was such a huge help and so wonderful to talk to. The view of the beach from this location is phenomenal! Must visit if you enjoy libraries.

Overlooked, really nice space. Kids will like it very much, everywhere you look there's something neat.
