One of my favorite places. The soup and salad special is enough to fill me up and still have half a salad to take home. The French onion soup is always my go too. Loved the chili with big tomato chunks. The fish is spectacular and I'll let cakes n pies speak for themselves

This place has excellent, comfortable food for a fair price. The staff are also nice. I am extremely fond of the fried pork — tastes just like I had it a few years ago. Other things may not have the best portion size or same flavor as before, but if you get several things, you will probably be satisfied overall. Their desserts are also great! It's small inside so the seats are often filled fast — plan accordingly if you'd like to come! Note: staff are often in the rear and may not pick up the phone in the front. Also, in the summer, this place gets hot (or used to)!

Amazing food, friendly fast service. The breaded mushrooms are HUGE, onion rings so crisp and delicious. We are definitely hitting up the bakery case next time. So many cheesecakes and they all look better than you could imagine. You definitely should try it!

9/14/2022 We've stopped in several times over the years with the new location being located on the western edge of the Historic Boneyfiddle District on 2nd Street near the Portsmouth Brewery. This homey location draws a local crowd and it's easy to see why. The service is top notch and the food is worth a several hour trip. If you stop in make sure that you give the desserts a try! 7/28/2013 Clean. A bit pricey. Plays classic rock. Most tables seat four and are located in the center of the room. Three booths that face into the dining room are available. Well lit but not annoyingly so. Parking is available but it is not close to the door. Street parking is closer but location is not in the best part of town. Staff friendly. Relaxed environment.

Ordered on doordash, was by far the best food around and i have doordashed food to my job weekly. They don't just make the food, they know how to cook it. It was a pleasant delight cause it was just like a home-cooked meal. I've got the meatloaf w/brown gravy, mashed potatoes, Greenbeans and a roll, and then my coworker got the hotdog with sauce mustard onion, coleslaw and onion rings those were amazing as well. Then a better than anything cake for dessert. Literally made our day. Thanks for being awesome, keep up the good work!
