This is my first time trying Haitian food ever in life! I let the server know once we started ordering and she immediately smiled and named everything for us and explained what’s in each dish. I told her I had a mushroom allergy because I know it’s prevalent in Haitian food and she let me know what I couldn’t eat. We ultimately ordered a small brown rice and beef, a small black rice and griot (fried pork), a side of Mac and cheese, and two homemade lemonades. Each order came with two tostones and pikliz, which was sooo good and had a little kick to it. We had to wait 10-15 minutes for the griot but it was worth it. She gave me a small piece out of my boyfriend’s order separately so his black rice wouldn’t trigger my allergy. The beef with gravy was flavorful and tender. The Mac and cheese
Today was the first time I ordered from this restaurant on Uber eats. When I tell you I am one satisfied customer; I will definitely eat from here again. Everything was to perfection! I ordered a large griot meal with rice which came with plantains, pickles, black bean gravy and another side of a delicious gravy and pikliz. I haven’t had Haitian food in so long and I am so glad I gave this place a chance. Whoever was in the kitchen please give them my thanks because wow. The portion size was also well worth the price. My picture does no justice but I was so excited to eat once I received my order.
