Flamingo Restaurant & Ice Cream

This is a small place outside the downtown area. The place is clean, and the service is very good. I got the Pastor burrito and the hubby got the Beef burrito. We ordered a side of Guacamole. They give you chips and salsa and 3 bottles of their sauces. The salsa that came with the chips is fabulous. I asked for 2 more and they gave it out!!! The burritos were fresh, hot and crispy!! Everything was perfect!! Ten outta ten, I’d do it again!!

This is a small, clean spot just outside the downtown area with excellent service. They offer complimentary chips and salsa, which were delicious, and I always enjoy the guacamole on the side. The portions are generous, making it a great value — the food delivers both on taste and quantity. For dessert, the fresh strawberries layered with creamy goodness were light, sweet, and perfectly refreshing, a great way to satisfy a sweet craving. The staff is polite and attentive, and it’s easy to see why many consider this one of the best Mexican restaurants in DeKalb. Definitely will be back!

I love the taste. It's definitely the best Mexican restaurant to many people in DeKalb. Also, the large portion sizes is a win-win as the food has both taste and quantity. I was also surprised by the ice cream varieties the restaurant has. The workers here are very polite and nice. I would definitely come here back again to eat :)

I wish I had snapped a photo of my meal—it was absolutely delicious! Luckily, I remembered to capture the dessert: fresh strawberries layered with rich, creamy goodness. Light, sweet, and perfectly refreshing. A dreamy finish to a great meal.

Was recommended to try this place out for great Mexican food, and I met a colleague for lunch. My one and only, only recommendation is to make it clearer that the taco menu is per taco, meaning if you want more than one, you need to be specific and state how many you want. Now, I ordered their signature Flamingo burrito. Not the biggest I’ve ever seen, but it is a really good size. As I dove in, I quickly found it was probably the most flavorful burrito I’ve eaten. The peppers, onions, grilled chicken, and CHEESE…yes CHEESE made for a perfect combination. Love every, single bite. This place is off the beaten path in Dekalb, but, I assure you, it’s worth it! I can’t speak for the ice cream, but I’ll be back to give that a whirl!
