I liked the menu and wanted to try it after my hospital visit. It turned out to be one of the best South Asian restaurants among dozens I've tried in NYC. For fish enjoyers in particular, you must try the Bengali Fish Korai. I ordered the Lamb Saag first, a favorite of mine. It's great. The lamb was very clean-tasting, lean but juicy and tender; the saag creamy, flavorful, and chopped instead of blended so it tasted like a real stew and not a smoothie. No chili was used in the Saag. The waitress was quiet but very kind and helpful. We spoke about her Bengali culture and cuisine. I still had appetite (I'm a big eater) and loved the Saag, so I ordered the Bengali Fish Korai. The Fish Korai was one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. As a fan of both fish and Indian food, it's a rare
We were in the UES area and tried out this restaurant by chance. To our pleasant surprise, the food and service were really good! We ordered a samosa chaat (see pic) as an appetizer and chicken vindaloo, butter chicken, and a plain naan, which were all fresh and delicious! Can’t wait to come back and try some other dishes!
Went for dinner and food was great! I have ordered take out before on many occasions and everything tastes and looks freshly made. Excellent service as well.
I went with a friend tonight and it was delicious! I got the chicken vindaloo and garlic naan and it was perfectly filling. Also, I believe our server was also the cook. She balanced serving us as well as prepping Uber Eats orders really well, all things considered. My only critiques are that the naan is a bit crispy whereas where I'm more inclined to doughy taste, but that's personal preference. I also wish the naan tasted a bit more garlic-y. 10/10 would absolutely go again though.
Small cozy Halal Indian restaurant in the heart of Spanish Harlem. Nice ambiance, friendly & good service along with flavorful authentic Indian food. I ordered the chicken biryani and tandoori chicken tikka. Both were good.
