My new favorite spot in Boston! These warm, flakey, buttery custard treats are perfection! The owners were also very friendly and welcoming and you know these are the real deal since one of them is Portuguese. They also offer frozen packs, with cute recipe cards with directions on how to reheat. The reheated pastéis tasted just as good as fresh and will allow you to stock up! With delicious pastéis de nata and a cappuccino I felt like I could experience a taste of Portugal without leaving Boston!

delicious pastries with beautiful presentation! this bakery in coolidge corner offers a great gift and afternoon snack. the pastries were crispy, creamy, and a bit cinnamon-y. the filling itself was softer and less firm than i’m used to (perhaps a higher dairy content) which made the tarts a bit too rich and lack egg flavor. the cinnamon was also a bit surprising. overall, the tarts were rather expensive at $3.50 apiece with slight deductions in price per tart the more you bought. there is also little seating, so this place would be great for purchasing a gift or buying tarts in bulk rather than eating at the cafe as a social event.

These pastel de nata are so good!!!! Me and my wife have been looking around since we went to Portugal 🇵🇹 we been searching for some good pastel de nata these are it! You will not be disappointed it is Portugal famous dessert. We will definitely be going back for more

After a trip to Lisbon, I was craving these and found this spot online. A friend and I stopped by and ordered a few tarts and cappuccinos. The café is absolutely charming, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The owners were incredibly kind and even sent us home with complimentary frozen tarts to test how well they reheat, which they did beautifully. A must-try if you love these European desserts.

I love egg tarts, so I was excited to finally try Flake. The per-tart price goes down when you buy more, so we ended up getting 6 tarts for 4 people. They were packaged beautifully and were fresh and hot. I thought the pastry was great -- nice and crispy layers. I wasn't a fan of the filling -- it felt more like a sweet pudding and didn't have the egg flavor I was expecting. Some people may like that, but it wasn't for me.
