Fiddlehead Bistro

I'm truly still dreaming about my meal at Fiddlehead Bistro. Everything we had was made from the freshest ingredients, all locally sourced, and the dishes were so creative. So many amazing vegan options, I was in heaven. Amazing presentation, service and the cocktails were the best!

Overall, a really good experience at this small quaint restaurant. The food is pricey, and the portions are on the smaller side, but the flavors are all there from food made from scratch.

We walked in without a reservation, and we're greeted warmly and shown to a table. The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive. My wife had the halibut and said it was one of the best seafood dishes she's ever had. I had the duck 2 ways. Tender, beautifully seasoned, and perfectly prepared. Even the sides stood out. Great meal and just a wonderful dining experience.

We had so much fun. The restaurant has character - lots of local artwork and woodburned tables. We had a spicy tofu dish, lamb, focaccia, and a toffee cake dessert. All delicious. Jason was our server, and he made a special dinner even more so. We will return!!

Friends brought us to the Fiddlehead Bistro, being we are from out of town. So glad they did! The staff are lively, energetic, and quick to offer suggestions when you can't choose (and there is much from which to choose). Slight warning: if an item is marked as being spicy, it is! The kitchen staff, from what we were told like things HOT, but in a good way. The spice enhances the flavors, but stays with you. Just giving fair warning! House cocktails are nicely done, atmosphere is casual, but "cozy". We ate indoors because of the weather, but there is an outside space. All in all, a really great place to finish a great day of visiting the Adirondacks, Lake Placid, Lake Saranac, and whoever you know in the area!
