Far East

We had the orange chicken, chicken chow mein, fried pot stickers and egg rolls. My son loved the orange chicken and it came with a lot like we will be eating for 2 days so much! The egg rolls are the best I have ever tried the chow mein was delicious and the pot stickers were great. I didn't like the orange chicken sauce but my son loved it. It was just too sweet for me.

We ordered chicken fried rice. It was basically rice and soy sauce. Very Few small pieces of chicken, nothing else. When we have ordered it at other places it has chunks of chicken and vegetables. Very disappointing. I have to say it was alot of rice.... All their food is packed in to-go containers. No real service. And they asked if I wanted leave a tip, when it is totally take-out.

When we first walked in, we noticed a bunch of American candy bars for sale at their front counter desert case. It felt like we entered a convenience store. No Chinese desserts or anything else in the windowed case. They offer a lunch buffet with about 8 different choices that's set out at the side like a salad bar from 11-3. We were there about 2 and food, what was left, had been sitting out for a while. Lots of empty tables to choose from. The Young girl at the counter was quick to ask if we wanted to give her a tip when ordering!?!? For the buffet, they give you a styrofoam to-go box exactly the size you get at Panda Fresh that you prepay at the counter, and it's a whopping flat fee of $18!! Cheapest thing there. So grateful for this delicious place! We are a family of 5 on a long road trip. We stayed in Crescent City on Christmas day and New Year's day. Both times they were friendly and fast. The portions are hot, fresh, and PLENTIFUL! The containers were packed with food. The flavors were consistent. Traveling with picky kids is hard but Far East really gave us great hotel dinner experience. We thought it was really cool their young daughter was working the register. So impressive and efficient. Our family owns a food truck in Oregon and our 6 year loves to help with the register. We appreciate al true family business. Thanks Far East!

If you like dine-in off paper plates and foam boxes this is the place for you. Now the food, I have eaten Chinese food all over California and have never tasted an abomination like this. Maybe they can call Martin Yan and he can help them get up to speed. This place should be called Stay Far Away instead of Far East. Eat at your own risk.
