Essex Public Library

Really warm and inviting library! I didn’t catch their names, but two of the male staff members were phenomenal—so friendly and welcoming, they made me feel right at home. I was in town for a short trip and was able to use the library’s services to get some research and work done. I’d definitely recommend stopping by. I just wish I’d had more time to explore their collection, which looked excellent and thoughtfully put together from what I saw on display.

Nice library for the most part, but some of the employees don't have the best attitude and take a while to warm up to you. I like the book and DVD sales that they seem to always be running. I also found the online renewal system to be convenient. Lastly, the children's section is nice but with so many toys and Legos, it's hard to keep the children quiet as they are expected to be in a library. Moving the children's section to another room would be a better bet in my opinion (or removing the louder toys).
