The extensive list of smoked meats at Eric's Family Barbecue is mind blowing. Last time I was here it wasn’t this huge. Everything from brisket to oxtails to whole hog to catfish! If this wasn’t my second stop of the day I might have tried a little of everything. I don’t usually get pulled pig but who can say no to whole hog pull. It’s all the best parts of the big harmonizing to create a symphony of hoggy goodness. So good. And the use of mesquite just sings to my soul. The mesquite flavor coming off the “No Bitchin” Ribs with a spicy kick that would knock out almost everyone in the state I flew in from. As I’m in a coffee shop typing this I still feel the tingle. I also accidentally rubbed my eyes. . . It burns but I won’t I did agree to “No Bitchin” so. But those ribs were easily my fav

Had lunch here on Thursday, March 5th. They were recommended to me by a coworker. It was after 2:00. The restaurant has outdoor patio seating, and inside it’s set up as family seating with long tables and chairs. You place your order from an à la carte menu. It’s a bit pricey with no platter combinations. I chose 1/2 lb brisket, 1/4 lb Ox tail, and 1/2 lb turkey; with sides of creamy coleslaw, mac & cheese, bread, and pickles. They serve Pepsi fountain drinks. Receiving my order I sat inside. Starting with the Ox tail the meat was slightly tough, and chewy. Strange considering the meat was on the bones. There was some good flavor, but not something I’d order again. The turkey was great. Fork tender. I sampled all their barbecue sauces. All were good. The House was like that of K.C. flavor.

I've been on a quest to find some good smoked beef ribs. Heard about Eric's family barbecue and had to check it out. It's a no fuss establishment serving good barbecue. One downside to serving meat is the cost and beef ribs were $47 a pound (bone included). I purchased one rib (about half a pound) and it was delicious and worth the hunt. They have huge smokers outside behind the restaurant.

Voted 2nd best in the nation and we believe it! Went there last night for Valentines dinner and it was the best barbecue we have had in our entire lives! The owner was so friendly and welcoming and so were all the staff. Dog friendly restaurant and authentic food, authentic warm and friendly place to eat. We got 1/2 pound of brisket, pulled pork and Ribs. We will be going back soon!

So here’s the deal; we ended up at Eric’s Family Barbeque because a friend told us they actually have beef ribs, which are basically extinct these days. And let me tell you… they did not disappoint! The ribs were massive, the brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the seasoning on the meat was chef’s kiss. You can tell they know what they’re doing back there. We also grabbed the mac & cheese (made with actual real cheese, none of that fake neon stuff) and onion rings, both were solid choices. The mac was creamy, the onion rings had that perfect crunch. Honestly, the food across the board was delicious. Now, here’s the thing… it’s definitely on the pricey side. Like, "special occasion BBQ” prices (it was over $100 for 2 of us). And it’s a bit of a trek for us to get there. But honestl
