Ember Farm to Fire

This was hands down the best stop in St Simon for food. The meatzilla pizza was really good. Cooked perfectly, even with being a very thin crust (prefer Neapolitan style in a wood fired oven, but damn it was good. The redfish with cheese grits was spot on. Very well cooked fish and the grits were good, but definitely could have used some salt. We will definitely be back when visiting.

We came here for my boyfriend and I’s anniversary dinner, and overall it was a wonderful experience! Our server (I can’t remember his name, but he was near the bar) was absolutely amazing, attentive, kind, and made our night feel special. The food was a 10/10, some of the best I’ve had in a long time! The lamb chops were by far the best I’ve tried anywhere. The only thing I did notice was feeling slightly uncomfortable due to some looks from another staff member in a nearby section. It may not have been intentional, but it made us feel a bit judged. I truly do believe no one should be judged based on appearance or age, especially in a fine dining setting. Aside from that, we had a great anniversary dinner and would still recommend the food!

We were a party of four that came in on Valentine’s Day. We were seated right away with our reservation. The waiter was friendly and the food came relatively quickly. Appetizers tasted amazing but small portions with a high price. The house wine was great for the price though. While waiting for our food the owner came by and introduced himself and chatted for a bit. He was very nice. Minutes later, our food came and we did order two different pizzas and the waiter even heard and repeated what we ordered so I am unsure why we got two of the same pizzas. Oh well, mistakes happen! No biggie. When the owner came back shortly after, we told him very reluctantly about the mix up and he was so kind and told us to keep it for to snack on and wait for the other pizza order to come, as well as compe

I love Ember. It's my favorite place to eat on the island. If you go on Mondays there is a super fun trivia game. A lot of people like the pizza, which is great, however I actually think they do vegetables even better than they do pizza. The roasted roosts, the crispy brussel sprouts and the beet salad are all amazing. Lovely cocktails too.

We had their excellent lamb lollipops for our appetizer. My wife had the Meatzilla fire bread and I had the Hot Lei. Meatzilla was excellent. Hot Lei was good. Service was excellent. Our only frustration was with a group two tables over that felt it necessary to speak loudly enough for other tables to hear clearly. I'd go back.
