Customer Reviews
Last night was my first dinner at Elina, and it instantly became one of my favorites. The tuna tartare is hands down the best in Aspen, and the Artichoke Heart Bruschetta was incredible. The food and cocktails were outstanding. The desserts were on another level, but the Crème Caramel really stood out, next level. The vibe and atmosphere were super pleasant.
Ellina was perfection. The tuna tartare, the salmon, the ambiance, the people everything was impeccable. Elegant, warm, and dreamy… truly a girl’s dream of a dinner spot. Can’t wait to go back 🤍✨
I have been a part-time resident of Aspen for 40 years, as were my parents and grandparents before me. Aspen’s restaurant community has always been one of its great strengths, which makes it especially disappointing to share this experience. We dined at Ellina recently. The food was truly gorgeous — beautifully executed, thoughtful, and worthy of praise. Unfortunately, the service experience did not match the quality of the cuisine. There was a significant delay at the bar, which one of the servers had already acknowledged and apologized for. However, when this was brought to the attention of the sommelier, rather than recognizing the situation or extending a simple courtesy apology, he chose to dispute the facts and implied that we were being untruthful about the delay. The interaction
One of the best experiences, if not the best in Aspen. From the ambiance, service and food everything was 5-star quality. Gavino was sweet and attentive. Jill was hospitable and impressive. All the food was spectacular and highly recommended to eat here. Order the Artichoke Heart Bruschetta or the Gruyère polenta croutons. They will change your life. The chicken Milanese was simple and elegant. Bolognese on point.
You can cook the same pasta and fish at home if you are at least a mediocre cook. $40 per dish is a ridiculous price for this level of bland taste. Attaching a picture of how pasta was served: I also throw a grated cheese on a coarse grater like this at home when I am too tired to make it look pretty. Service: they would not grind pepper for you, they will just bring you a cheapest plastic pepper mill and put it on the table. Again, this is fine, but when dishes cost $40 each. On the pro side: ambiance is nice and the olive oil that came with the bread was good quality. When posting the same review on OpenTable the answer from the restaurant was aggressive. I appreciate the hard work of the chef who works a lot as they mentioned in the answer, but the taste is just not there.
