Elisha's Food For The Soul

I have had several dishes from here. The soul food was very well seasoned which I loved. This particular day I got my food to go. The next time we dined in. My dine in experience was not up to par as far as my service food was still good just wished it could've came out when each dish was done instead of waiting for it all. Sitting makes it lose its freshness but overall GREAT Food.

15/15 Perfect Chicken Fried Steak - Texas Certified CFS Inspector - First time visit and WOW! I could only eat about half but this was delightful! You can taste every bite of love in this food and Elisha deserves all the love she gets. This is top quality Chicken Fried Steak!

The time frame to receive your food is too long. The pork chops were not with the brown color when fried before smothered. The hot water corn bread was too sweet plus too hard. The deserts was cut too small and did not look fresh like the one in Marshall Texas.

Welcoming staff, excellent home cooked food and pleasant atmosphere. Fried catfish with satisfying crunchy cornmeal coating moist plump fish. Big sides of greens & purple hull peas yummy and hot water cornbread sweet and dense. Oxtails and over rice was melt in your mouth tender. Huge slab of strawberry cheesecake was drop dead delish. Support this local treasure!!!
