ELG Sweet Boutique

This place is a godsend!! Growing up in Hampton Roads, going to an ice cream parlor was always a joyous treat but unfortunately, there are a lot less stores now. During a lunch outing with my sisters, we decided to take a walk on High Street and came upon this store. We decided to go in and immediately I received a warm greeting from a beautiful young woman. She showed us the menu, and asked us if we wanted to taste samples. The names of the ice cream were awesome, like Empower-Mint. I was excited to see my hard-to-find, absolute favorite ice cream on the menu: strawberry Cheesecake but I decided to try the Banana Pudding Ice Cream first. Walked by with my four GrandJoys and sooo glad we stopped in! The kiddos loved the ice cream - and the owner/staff who helped us were super nice! My daughter and grandkids live in walking distance so I'm sure they'll be back - as will I whenever I'm visiting. 🙂

This little place is just what downtown Portsmouth needed. It was founded by local young women from our area who have been a part of the Envision, Lead, Grow Program run by local business women affiliated with the Mustard Seed Place. They envisioned, planned and executed this shop. It is staffed by other young ladies that are part of the program. There are many yummy options available to ice cream lovers, young and young at heart. There are a couple of tables and bar seating. The bar seating looks out over town square and High Street. The staff were lovely and friendly. This bright spot reminded me so much of an old time ice cream parlor. We will be back to enjoy ice cream at this great little place.

My sisters and I were over in Ptown today and found this gem ELG Sweet Boutique ice cream shop. After a good meal and a walk we came across this shop for dessert. Definitely a great spot for an ice cream treat

My family and I wanted to get ice cream after leaving the children’s museum for my son’s birthday. The store hours stated that they were open until 5 on Sunday's, but when we got there the store was closed with a sign saying “hours vary by season”. Sad that we were looking forward to getting some ice cream and had to walk back disappointed and empty handed ☹️ gotta keep information like this updated on Google!
