El Vallarta

I love the atmosphere here! The decor (new lights) murals, colors, and music set the perfect vibe to enjoy some great Mexican food! The servers are always so attentive and kind. We come in frequently!

I ate lunch here and was very happy with everything. The staff was incredibly welcoming. I asked if the salsa verde was made fresh or was from the bottle and they were happy to share they make it fresh! It had a perfect blend of ingredients including onion which complimented the slight heat. For my meal, I chose the carne asada which is the skirt steak (not the tacos) and is the standard in which I base my opinion on all my Mexican restaurants. It came out quick and everything was made fresh. It tasted great and wasn’t overcooked like some places do. What I liked about it was that it included a piece of nopal (prickly pear cactus) which was also delicious. All in all, I really enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere, and the service. This made my top 5 list for best asada. 5/5 would recommend.

I had dinner at El Vallarta in Waxhaw, and the food was outstanding. We sat at the bar and ordered a margarita, and the chips and salsa came out quickly. For an appetizer, I highly recommend the corn ribs. It was very unique and it was delicious. For my meal, I had the carnitas and the pork was so good. My only minor disappointment was that there was no bartender, so it was slow to get drinks. If you are looking for good Mexican food, El Vallarta is a great place to eat.

Ordered togo and wow… the food was terribly bland. The only thing that had any flavor was the bell pepper itself which of course tasted like a bell pepper. The chicken, cheese, pork, the beans, rice everything was completely flavorless. Very bizarre. Super disappointed. I generally try to leave positive reviews but after hours of debating I really felt the need to review. The management needs to look at their spices, even consider using salt? The chips were literally without a single grain of salt. Just.. wow

Huge menu with every kind of delicious Mexican dish you can imagine. Plenty of margaritas options. I had the watermelon cucumber and it was amazing. Everything is so fresh. Love this place!
