Vera's Kitchen Waxhaw

Burger was average as it was a bit dry. Service was fantastic. Really basic diner feel. Local ownership so great to support. Parking in front of on street is limited.

The owner, Vera, is very nice. She came around to each table to thank us for coming. The food and service were both good. Food arrived expeditiously. I tried the hamburger steak w/ gravy & onions, fried okra and mac and cheese. The hamburger steak and okra were excellent. However, the mac and cheese could use some seasoning as it was kind of bland. Overall, I’d recommend giving it a try. I will be making a return trip to try their other various items.

Our breakfast was great, right up until we were asked to pay and leave soon. There were no parties waiting for a table, we had been there only 35 mins and some were still actively eating.

Absolutely delicious and wonderful service! RJ took good care of us. Loved the French toast and pancakes. Home fries were delicious as well as the link sausage. Will definitely be back!

Made the stop while we were on the way to a dentist appointment. Food was good.
