El Tapatío Mexican Restaurant

If you are looking for authentic Mexican this is the place. We stopped here after seeing their advertisement at the Ice Arena down the street. It was a great choice. The staff (family run) were so nice friendly and informative. It is a nice small place well decorated and cozy. The margherita's were so good that we had to have another. We only had apps of nachos & flautas and let me say the best we have ever had. Nachos & salsa to start were great as well. Even though we live 1/2 hour away we will be back!

Went here with my kids today for the first time and was blown away. Food is very authentic and absolutely delicious! It is rare I can find a place for myself and picky kids to all enjoy but El Tapatio nailed it! Kids and I loved it and excited to come back with my husband. Chips were served warm with fresh made salsa. I get fish tacos everywhere I go and the fish tacos here were hands down the best I ever had. This is definitely our new go to spot and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you El Tapatio for bringing authentic and absolutely scrumptious Mexican food to Simsbury!

I love coming here!! The people who work here are so kind and fabulous at their jobs! The margaritas are delicious and if you need one go here. Food is delicious as well and I’ve never had anything to complain about while here.

My wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch during a workday, and we were thoroughly impressed. The service was exceptionally fast, allowing us to enjoy a delicious meal without feeling rushed. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and well-prepared, and to our delight, we were treated to a complimentary dessert—which was just as amazing. The prices are reasonable, making it a fantastic value for the quality and experience. Definitely worth it!

Had a lovely dining experience at El Tapatio. All the dishes had big portion sizes. I really liked the cactus burrito especially with their spicy salsa. If you like spice definitely ask for their spicy salsa. My brother got the arroz con pollo and felt there was less rice compared to the chicken and veggies. Overall a fantastic experience the service was great, will definitely be visiting again soon.
