El Tacuba

This place is a really nice trendy Mexican tapas restaurant. Not your typical Mexican restaurant. It's good for date night or girls night out because the ambiance is fun but definitely different and special. It was a bit loud, perhaps due to high ceilings and having a full house, but we could still talk with our friends across from us. The service was attentive and very friendly. They were happy to give recommendations. The majority of the food was creative, delicious, and beautifully plated. The only reason I docked a star (would have been half a star if I could have) is because it's definitely a little pricey once you start adding up all the various tapas and drinks. El lugar esta bonito, pero las sillas color bronze, super incómoda. Las porciones de comida super pequeña, es el primer restaurante que los Tacos salen solos, ni con ensalada. El sabor de la comida bueno. Nos quedamos con hambre. Los tacos tienen el mismo precio, no importa si son pollo, cerdo o steak. La comida no llegó a tiempo, no llegaron junto los platos. Such a great place. Food is delicious and reasonably sized/priced. Not made to be overly complicated. Menu is not too big. Tacos, Ceviche, pozole, elote, guacamole- everything is great. Super cool ambience and great service. Most Mexican places we go to are way too heavy on the salt. You can literally feel yourself swelling as you eat and then you feel terrible. Not El Tacuba. Everything is flavorful but light feeling. Highly recommend

Had an amazing time with my sister celebrating our birthday. The food more than exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back. Special shout-out to our serve Paulina, she was super kind, friendly and informative!!

Came here twice and still obsessed. Food’s amazing and the vibe hits. Honestly… I’d pick this over Ba******a. Highly recommend the patacones and the seafood dishes!
