Pikaichi

This cozy ramen restaurant is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Japanese comfort food without spending a fortune. The highlight of the meal was the Hokkaido ramen, a rich and hearty bowl that truly captures the bold flavors of northern Japan. The broth was deeply savory, creamy, and full-bodied without being overly heavy, and the noodles had the perfect chewy texture. It felt like the kind of dish that warms you from the inside out, especially on a cold day. The miso ramen was equally impressive. Its broth had a robust, slightly nutty depth from the fermented miso, balanced with just enough saltiness and umami to keep every spoonful exciting. Topped with tender slices of chashu pork, fresh scallions, and a perfectly cooked egg, it delivered both flavor and comfort in every bite.

Had a great dinner at Pikaichi. I had the spicy miso, which I really enjoyed - I'd have it again. The hokkai shio was also very good. I was going to have the yuzu soda, but they were unfortunately out. Instead I had the melon cream which I thought was too sweet.

The ramen is decent for the price. Overall, it’s good value. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with tofu, and it was flavorful and satisfying. A solid option if you’re looking for something affordable. It wouldn’t be my first choice for Ramen, but it’s a reasonable option to visit.

Pretty OK ramen. I don't eat pork so I could only get the vegetarian ramen, so my review isn't reflective of the majority. However i thought the vegetarian ramen broth was pretty nice. I wish the eggs weren't marinated with pork as I would have loved to get that in my bowl too.

Simply the best ramen in the best setting in the entire Boston area. Also the side of curry and rice is delish! Spicy Miso is the bomb along with the shoyu ramen.
