El Rey de las Gorditas

Subpar gorditas- chicharrón en salsa roja should have been called Gorditas en salsa roja- too much sauce had to eat it like chilaquiles en salsa! Strong sauce over powered the little chicharrón it did have- the one in green sauce was a tad better but not flavorful- asada con queso was ok. The best one was the carnitas which earned the extra star. Note the gorditas are on the thin side which might be the reason they don’t pack it with meat just won’t hold up and will fall apart. The Green hot sauce was good red was too overpowering which tasted like the sauce in the chicharrón roja- by the way they don’t add or have any extras to add like cebolla/ cilantro etc…verdura will help bland dishes in my opinion! A pass for me will not return just my opinion!

I’ve never found a place that had gorditas de chicharrón prensado. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty they were. Highly recommend!

tired of mid food? come to el rey de las gorditas, its just like that scene from ratatouille where the inspector is reminded of his mothers cooking from his childhood. 10/10. good prices, good variety, better flavor. dont forget to tip or i'll find you

The veggie gordita options have all been 10/10 (nopales, rajas, poblano). The tortilla is handmade and fresh. The salsas are also good! Prices are solid.

Absolutely delicious, amazing food!!! The young lady was quick, and very polite! WE WILL BE BACK!!
