Food used to be good. 11/29/25 We ordered a plate with fried plantain, pork, rice shown separately. We got a large pile of a mostly flavorless rice dish. It had a piece of shrimp. I hate shrimp. I ordered Pastelles that I ordered before. They were less then half the size, a different receipe with potatoes mixed into the flavorless chicken. It used to taste like a mild curry chicken filling. I ordered fries. They showed nice think cut fries. I got unsalted shoe string fries. The best part of the meal....the ketchup.
Super big empanadas filled with yummy shredded beef, black beans, and sweet plantain! I got the mini pepito which is a sandwich and it was soo delicious! I also got the chicarrone and cheese within a folded plantain which OMG were exquisite!! I will be returning ad everything was super flavorful!
The food is absolutely incredible! 3 different meats on this Apera Cabimera, each one delicious. I think there are 5 different sauces and they are so flavorful. What an incredible dish. I highly recommend you give Venezuelan food a try. I can’t say enough good things about this!
Ate the chicken (pollo) empanadas. Got them To-go but they are definitely a sit down and eat item as they are jam packed with chicken, black beans, cheese and plantain. b/Bigger than I expected! Came with a zesty cilantro cream sauce on the side. DELICIOUS!!!! Beautiful crunchy flavorful shell. I knew with the language barrier, this cart would be authentic and boy, it did not disappoint! Exceeded my expectations. THANK YOU EL PUNTO VENEZOLANO!!! (Don't mind the photo. It wasn't that greasy. I took the pic after I ate the first one and got beans and cheese on the wrapper. 😂.)
My first time trying authentic Venezuelan food and highly recommend the empanadas. It was made to order so you get the nice crunchy outer shell and soft chewy in the inside. A lot of flavor and well seasoned meat. Can't wait to try more!
