Island Tings Pdx (Call ahead/llama primero)

I've been homesick for a home cooked meal from PR for a couple years now and this was the perfect choice. I called ahead and ordered on the phone, they gave me an estimate time for me to pickup and they were punctual. The food was exquisite!! I felt like I was eating at home. I ordered a pastelillo de carne, arroz con gandules, pernil y amarillos, y coquito. They serve A LOT for one person so I now have dinner for another night. This was an amazing food experience! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Portions were generous, and every dish hit the mark. The service made it even better. One of those meals you keep thinking about and reminiscing about Puerto Rico after you’re done eating. Five stars all the way!

Delicious Puerto Rican food and amazing flavors! Island Tings Pdx is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious, full of authentic Puerto Rican flavors, and clearly made with care. Everything we tried was fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The portions are generous and the quality is excellent. Ordering ahead is easy and convenient, and the service is friendly and efficient. You can really tell they take pride in their food. This place is perfect if you’re looking for something different and truly flavorful.
