El Pescador is one of Malibu’s quieter, more peaceful beaches — part of the Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beaches — and it’s a great spot if you want a less-crowded alternative to El Matador. The parking area is easy to navigate, with a pay station and a short walk down to the beach. There are a few picnic tables with beautiful ocean views, and the trail down is wide, natural, and manageable for most visitors. Even on busy days, this beach feels calm and open, with plenty of space to explore tide pools, enjoy the bluffs, or just relax by the water. A few helpful notes: Parking is paid (machine is right at the lot entrance) Restrooms are available near the parking area The walk to the beach is sloped dirt path — sturdy shoes recommended Great spot for photography, picnics, and sceni
Super cute beach. Very lowkey, and definitely has a private beach feel. Enough sand to lay out a blanket, and chair, and relax. Lots of seaweed gets tossed up & not reclaimed by the Ocean...but nothing intolerable. Tide pools on either end (very cool🤓) and rocky areas on either side, so be careful swimming (maybe use water shoes to be safe if swimming near the rocky ends). Per usual in California, the water is FREEZING. However it is very clean & was pleasant to dip my feet in while strolling along the edge of the ocean. If you do swim, the waves are STRONG & powerful & it looks like rip currents are running thru. Also there is no lifeguard stand, so be safe & careful 🌊 Meanwhile, a lot of people have described the hill & stairs that bring you from the bluff to the beach, but I drop
Visited this beach and it was good! We got lucky with parking which is $10 I believe we paid. It’s a small lot so you may have to find street parking if no spot is available. The trek to the beach is a pretty steep hill down and then a flight of stairs but the beach itself is really nice, and secluded. We went in the afternoon so there wasn’t too many people. (Note: porta potty’s are in the parking lot)
This beach is not really crowded. There are many people but you have enough space for privacy. However I did go in the afternoon time during a weekday. I came here to read a book on my birthday last year. You do need to pay for parking I think it was around $3-7. Very peaceful. Getting here there is curves you need to turn on so be careful if you get car sick easily.
Great place to relax. Not overpopulated, not dirty, water feels sooo good and calming. Only drawback are the rocks in the water so be careful. There are no lifeguards here so swim at your own risk. Bring your own food because there is no place to get food here.
