Nicholas Canyon Beach

Pay kiosks not working, so i went ahead with not paying. Asked a few others and they seem to have the same experience. Very private feel to this beach as you can't really hear or see traffic on PCH. Has an elevated pic nic area with 4 tables, great for a group. Cove is small yet long and extends northward to another beach.

Went midday on a chilly weekday, just to have a picnic by the beach. It was empty, and quiet, and beautiful. The kids ended up playing in the water and had a great time. We saw pelicans, sand pipers, and a couple sea lions popped their heads out of the water. The only drawback is a couple of the ones who went into the water ended up getting some sort of tar stick to the bottom of their foot.

Beautiful beach! Surf or Boogie board beach. The break near shore churns rocks, making swimming entry painful and hazardous. Clean plenty of parking (paid check website for cost) 5 minute walk down to the beach from the 1st parking lot. There are some spots closer near the lifeguard stand. Stairs down to the beach. Not crowded usually.

Love this place. 1st time here. Quit clean good place to meditate. Went back again spent 6 hrs there. Love this place. My meditations I use hear you'll need something to lay down on. Vagus Nerve Exercises to rewire your brain from anxiety. This is great for beginners Allen Watts-Guided Meditation ( Awakening the mind). Both on YouTube. Went back again but no more huts water washed them out. That's okay I'm still coming here.

Beautiful place for picnic and swimming, parking is only $10. But restrooms are mobile plastic toilets 🙈 the only negative thing about this beach , also traffic will be super heavy if you are driving after 9am even on weekends
