El Patio Escondido Mexican Restaurant

What a great, little restaurant! I was in the area for something else and wanted to support a local business that had been affected by the recent winter storm. A quick search led me to El Patio Escondido and I'm glad it did! Despite my strict diet, I was able to find something that fit though the entire menu looked like it would have tasted great. I settled on combination beef and fajita chickens and opted for a side salad instead of rice and beans. Add a grilled jalapeno and it was the perfect combination of flavor and spice that I needed. The chicken and beef was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. The salad was fresh along with the guacamole and sour cream. If you are in the area and want authentic Mexican food, this place is for you!

6/19/25 I live in Jacksonville,FL and i came over here in the area to visit Again My 1st ever Favorite Mexican Restaurant :) I really don't like eating Mexican Food.. However i believe This place is worth it!!! Everything was clean, and neat, staff was really nice. I Ordered a Rice with Beans n Chicken Breast Grilled it was pretty good!!! the Chicken was juicy, crispy, and with the garlic it gave it a slamming kick!!! i really like this place and i will definitely come again :) hopefully one day this store can expand to more location in the future :D! 9 dollars for a large guacamole. We got one scoop and it was awful no flavor. The whole meal was horrible. The beans tasted like they dumped an entire container of salt in the pot. We spent $130 for our family.

Whoever left a one star review is a HATER! This family owned restaurant is serving up flavor every day of the week except Sundays. The first time eating there I ate 10 tacos! I literally went there next morning as soon as they opened and had 26 more tacos! The rice and beans are some of the best I’ve had in the entire state of Texas! The food is so good it makes me wanna slap my own mother for not cooking me food like this! The service is fantastic as well, these people cater to you as if you were family. You will not be disappointed! And don’t skip out on the churros either! I saw someone eat an entire churro in one bite! That’s how good they are. I LOVE this place and I will forever be a customer! And I’m bringing everyone with me!

My husband and I are here in town for the night staying at The Best Day Ever Ranch and we came across this place. I am SO glad we did!! The food here is so dang good that we pinned it and will definitely drive the hour from our house to come eat. I’ll start by saying the salsa being FANTASTIC! The food was full of flavor and tasted AUTHENTIC!! We’ve been to plenty of restaurants that don’t use seasonings but this restaurant does! It’s hard to find places that give you the authentic taste but look no further. Also, the service was great! So sad I didn’t get photos, just know you have to come here.
