El Paraiso Family Mexican Restaurant

Great Mexican restaurant in Gunnison. Here visiting and stopped by on a weeknight. Great service, sat and food on table really fast! My server was really nice and he made sure I had everything I needed throughout my time there. I got fajitas and sides, and they were really fresh and good flavor! Great atmosphere also! The decor is so beautiful, the chairs and tables look authentic, hand carved and painted with different animals and flowers that are very pretty. Great experience overall!

The best Mexican food experience. The bills picture is here we were 3 persons but after completing our meal we had to take away rest food. The amount with such prices is amazing. And the beautiful Mexican Amiga and the humble amigo is a pure soul. Must try restaurant if you visit this town.

Mid at best… We’ve been lucky enough to have some great meals on this trip, however, this was not one of them. The water was so horrible none of us could drink it, the food was bland, and the service was poor. Not one person in our party enjoyed their dish. Not really sure how this place has the reputation it does

I had the sopa de siete mares that I've had all over the US and this is one of my favorites!

The food was average to okay. The salsa and queso are NOT traditional! The salsa is very thick with a heavy pepper flavor but lacking in onion & garlic flavors. The queso was yellow and tasted like it should be in a mac-cheese dish. (I mixed then to make both better) The server seemed to have lots of tables and never once refilled our waters. He also didn’t refill our chips until we asked. One person asked for ground beef in her dish and she got shredded. The drinks are very strong and super salty. We asked the hostess what they do for birthdays and she explained. We told her we had a 25th birthday for someone who doesn’t drink. She clearly didn’t communicate that to the server because they didn’t do anything for our birthday celebration.
