El Palacio Restaurante

El Palacio is a good local spot with pretty good Salvadoran cuisine. It’s on the pricey side for a local place in Plainfield but it’s worth trying. I do take out from here often and the food is always good. Only down side is it seems that no one speaks English, which may be a hard barrier to get over but luckily the menus have photos. The staff are attentive and it’s pretty clean. Definitely worth stopping in.

Horchata tasted rancid. Some other patrons also complained. They made me the drink twice for and it tasted terrible I was only able to take two sips and they still charged me for it. Better to take the drive to boundbrook’s location. Eat there all the time and I never have any issues.

Why wasnt I aware of this dish my entire life !! I had a dish called baledas and there are a tortilla stuffed with a choice of meat that you want like chicken, steak, or chorizo - with beans cheese and cream and avocado if you like. They are so huge and i ordered 2 thinking they were small due to the price shown on the menu. I had a strawberry lemonade and it was so good like slushie consistency!!

Ordered multiple times here, the food was outstanding. Price was the best part. Location was perfect, the results were even better

Love the fried chicken with green banana chips, the traditional dish for San Pedro Sulans, soo far the best and I like their bakery’s too 👌🏻
