El Jimador Mexican Grill #5

11/28/2025 We read the reviews so we stopped in on our way home from the Renaissance F÷stival. There was no wait, and the place.looked nice. However, that's where the good experience ended. I ordered the chinichanga, and my wife had the señorita plate. My chimichanga meal overall was cold. The rice and beans were cold, the filling was lukewarm, and the outside tasted like it had been sitting under a light. After two bites, I was done. My wife's dinner was mostly hot, but the portions were small, and the tamale was all masa and no meat. No one checked on us until they brought the check. When I told them about my dinner, the manager only offered a small discount on my meal. When we went to check out, we explained the problems to the lady at the register. She finally made it right and adjuste

Food was good. Service was a little slow. Bad thing was the flies! Lots of flies!

We came into town for the big knife show and wanted to try someplace new. This place was right by the convention center, and food smelled so good. We had to stop. This place is quite large. They have several big rooms and looks like a party room off to the right for bigger groups. The chips and salsa were good, similar to most Mexican restaurants. What makes this place better is the Jalapeño ranch. Who knew this was a thing, and it would taste so good with chips and salsa!! It was so good, I had to push it away so I wouldn't eat it all. I ordered the chicken tacos mexicanos, trying something new for me. I forgot to take pictures of our food. Fail! The tacos were good, but nothing that made them stand out from other places. We went to eat at El Jimador cause the other Mexican restaurant in town was crowded. Both mine and my husband's food was bad. He said his beef in his enchilada tasted funny. I had quesadillas with beef. They didn't taste bad but I had a funny after taste in my mouth afterwards. We did not enjoy our food

A repeat visit for a late lunch. Ordered the Nachos as an appetizer for two, and we had just enough to eat. The tea is tasty. Will return.
