We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. One of the highlights is the large grassland surrounding the restaurant, which adds to the peaceful and quiet environment. It’s a perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a serene dining experience. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a special gathering, this place is definitely worth visiting! Highly recommended!

Wonderful service and superior quality food. This is a really special place to stop, we highly recommend. Everything was handmade and the portions are huge. We started with the street corn and chicharrones which were freshly fried up and still cracklin when they hit the table. The homemade sangria was phenomenal. My husband got the fried chicken sandwich and it took up the whole plate. I got the fried shrimp plate and they were not shy with the shrimps. They were juicy, fresh and perfectly fried.

Cozy restaurant run by a local couple. Charlie was very friendly and welcoming. Food was so fresh and delicious. Sangria and dr. Pepper cakes a must try.

Past this place on our way home from a trip to Brenham a couple of weeks ago. I made note of it and mentioned to my husband that we need to check it out. Today was that day and let me tell you it did not disappoint! My husband had the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes. It came with a salad (homemade ranch). I had the fried shrimp with remoulade and and order of onion rings. Both dishes were phenomenal in our opinion. We are already planning to stop on our next trip in the area. Everything is homemade. Charlie & Eileen are very friendly and so is the rest of the staff. Now if fancy is your thing then keep going, but if you want some good ole hospitality and great food this is your place. This is definitely an amazing place to eat, highly recommend it and worth the drive out for anyone that lives further out. The older man is such a kind hearted man that really goes out of his way to talk to you and make sure you are enjoying and love the food, him and his whole team he has are amazing. It was our first time to go and we will definitely be going back. Thank you for a great experience!
