Not the best Cuban food I’ve had, but when I didn’t want to drive far, it satisfied the craving. The ropa vieja was delicious, the plantains not sweet enough but still okay, and the potato balls were good. Service was amazing, which gave the whole visit a lift.
All good, still second banana though... Filete de Pollo (that's what I know it as, chicken breast, onions and garlic), white rice and beans, sweet fried plantains...all very good, but for my money nothing beats El Floradita in Hollywood. The Cuban Sandwich I've had here and that IS excellent. Mojo (garlic sauce) is a bit more thin than I am accustomed to. Albert was excellent...friendly and on top of it.
A great place to enjoy authentic Cuban food. El Criollo Cubano serves delicious traditional dishes — the ropa vieja, picadillo, and lechón asado are very good. The atmosphere is relaxed, perfect for a quiet dinner and a refreshing mojito. Friendly service and genuine flavors make it a highly recommended spot for anyone who loves Caribbean cuisine. Nice music
This is not my first time. I was here pre- pandemic when they had dj nights and live bands. But it was my first time post pandemic. At the moment, they are not hosting dj nights or live bands. But it's ok because we came for some mojitos. We found out it was buy 2 for the price of one. I ordered a coconut and mango mojito. It was delicious. The second one was even better. I love Cuban food. I grew up eating it in my town back in NJ. I ordered a shrimp al ajillo with congrí (black beans and rice combined) with maduros. It was yummy. We had some yucca fries, flan, espresso, rabo encendido with white rice and black beans. I loved the food. I also love the atmosphere. Order ahead if you're impatient. We took our time with our drinks and meals. We were treated well. I hope to be back before I
It was a cute restaurant, very chill, dimly lit, clean. The staff were incredibly nice and attentive. The food was pretty good! Portions not bad. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Tables were clean and clear. We didn't have to wait too long to be served. All in all, I recommend you check it out. :)
